Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS)
The PCI Security Standards Council has devised a Data Security Standard (DSS) for merchant services. The PCI DSS requirements are applicable if a Primary Account Number (PAN), when performing credit card processing, is stored, processed, or transmitted. An example of a DSS requirement is that the CVV2 number from the back of a credit card can not be stored after the credit card processing is complete.
AmbironTrustWave is offering NOVA merchant services customers the opportunity to assess their risk of susceptibility to a data compromise. This is in an effort to achieve compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards for all merchants performing credit card processing. The AmbironTrustWave Risk Profiler is a brief questionnaire resulting in an assigned risk score, and clear direction as to what action is required on the merchant's part to achieve compliance with the PCI DSS.
NOVA merchant services customers can access the questionnaire at http://nova.riskprofiler.net. Enter code NOVAQ207.
