Q: Is Next Day Funding offered to a Clear and Simple merchant?
A: Yes, Next Day Funding is offered. Funding windows and options are unchanged for Clear and Simple merchants, any existing next day funding fees will apply.
Q: Is Amex One Point offered to Clear and Simple merchants?
A: Yes, merchants can be setup with AMEX OnePoint and the rates will be existing AMEX one point rates.
Q: Do Clear & Simple merchants have to go through PCI Compliance? Will I be charged PCI Non-Compliance fees if I am not compliant?
A: All merchants are contractually obligated to be PCI Compliant. With the Clear & Simple pricing, all PCI fees are included, there are no PCI Non-Compliance Fees.
Q: Do I, as a merchant, get enrolled in the Settlement Reconciliation Service (SRS)?
A: Yes, the Tax Identification Number (TIN) matching process and SRS availability is the same.
Q: Can merchants process on a terminal instead of, or in addition to, VirtualMerchant?
A: Yes, merchants can use whatever equipment they desire, however, only access to VirtualMerchant is included. This is one of many thing that set us apart from Square.
Q: Can Clear and Simple be offered to internet merchants processing online? For example a church that wants a donate button on their website and only processes $1,000.00 a month, will this work?
A: Yes, Clear & Simple pricing is available to Retail, Mail Order, Telephone Order, and E-Commerce business types. Currently other business types (Restaurant, Lodging, Fuel, etc..) are not eligible for Clear & Simple.
Q: Does Square's reader encrypt data?
A: No, although they have announced that it will in the near future. Both the Magtek iDynamo and BulleT do encrypt card data and provide a secure mobile processing environment.
Q: Are there any 'processing caps' for Merchants using this program?
A: No, there are no unique caps as a result of Clear & Simple - standard processes including caps will apply/
Q: If the merchant already has a terminal, is there any additonal fee(s) to use that terminal under Clear & Simple?
A: No, additional fees are not required for programming.
