Are Online Payments Right for
Your Business?
If you sell products or send invoices for services rendered then online payments is one avenue that you should explore. Online payments allow you to make money when you’re out of the office.
Online PaymentsWith online payments you can get a leg up on the competition by taking your business beyond geographical locations. According to a survey by Nielsen Online, a service of the Nielsen Company, most people who shop and pay online do so not to save money, but to save time. Their online survey of 1000 people found that 81 percent shop online because they can shop any time of the day and in the comfort of their pajamas. Your business may not be open at midnight or in the middle of a snow storm, but you can still sell products. Seventy-seven percent said they like shopping online because it saves time. Sixty-one percent said they like to comparison shop, and 56 percent said they like it because they can find things easily. Interestingly, just 46 percent listed low prices as a reason to shop online.
An online bill payment platform allows you to receive payments immediately for service invoices, and is both versatile and eco-friendly. Allowing your customers to make payments online eliminates the wait time of “checks in the mail.” Online bill pay allows your customers to choose their preferred method of payment by using check or credit card payment. Encouraging your customers to “go green” with online bill pay is a great way reduce the amount of paper waste coming in and out of your business – processing payments online saves paper, postage and envelopes.
If you are not accepting payments or offering products online you are severely limiting the amount of income that you can make for your business. Giving your customers an easy option to pay online with credit cards or checks removes any barrier to payments, which increases your cash flow - and that is arguably the best thing you can do for your business, big or small. Please contact NTC Texas at 972-406-8111 to determine which payment gateway is best for your business.
